WHO WE ARE

Mitchell, McNutt & Sams traces its origins to 1904 when Guy Mitchell began practicing law in Lee County, Mississippi. In the 1970’s, the firm enjoyed growth and expansion that has steadily continued through present day. Our legacy has been and continues to be that we provide broad-based legal services to a wide variety of clients through our multi-disciplinary practice which is committed to quality and excellence.

As part of one of Mississippi’s largest law firms, the attorneys at Mitchell, McNutt & Sams have established reputations as respected practitioners of commercial law, general litigation, and diversified areas of civil law, serving local, state and national clients. The firm is especially well positioned to serve clients in the southeastern region of the United States, with over 30 lawyers admitted to practice in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama, who regularly handle complex and challenging transactions as well as trials and appeals before all state and federal courts and agencies.
